A large outer filter traps the largest airborne particles. The pre-filter traps larger particles such as dirt, lint and hair. A military grade carbon cloth is introduced to filter smaller airborne particles and contaminants that would otherwise shorten the life of the HEPA. 60 sq. ft. of true medical HEPA filter paper removes harmful airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns.
